Linux Lite - Underrated Linux For Beginners

It's 2016 and there is still a plethora of choices of Linux distributions. Many choices but still only a handful that are completely appropriate for Linux Newbies. If you are a beginner you may want to take a look at the latest Linux Lite. It's understandable for newcomers to Linux to feel apprehensive or even scared. There's no need to feel that here. Beginning with the website, a warm, friendly easy to understand starting point for beginners. The site explains just about everything you need to know to get you started to at least try a different operating system. Remember, you don't have to delete Windows to try this. Speaking of that... The developers have made it super easy to install Linux Lite in a virtual environment with guest additions already installed. After install, your new OS should be ready to go! Another plus is this one is lightweight enough to install on older machines. On new machines it should fly! Navigation is easy and I'm a big fan of "click and go" just like Windows!. Terminal commands should not be necessary at least not in the beginning. It never hurts to learn a few, just a few now and not the encyclopedia! Of course, if this OS is not for you then you can always delete it and try something else. Windows is not affected. In case you're wondering I am a Windows user who likes to dual boot both Windows and different versions of Linux. If it's not easy as Windows then I won't use it, at least not for beginners. So, give it a try here
